Kill the Dog

Some songs are just about the fun of writing and playing it. Kill the Dog is an example of such a song. I heard someone complain about the neighbors’ noises and sighing “I should kill their freaking dog”. Basically, that was all the inspiration for this sarcastic poppy ska/punk song?

Out now on Spotify, AppleMusic, Deezer, and all other online music stores.

Em C
Em A

Em C
Noises upstairs
Em A
Drive me crazy all the time
Em C
Don’t know what they’re doing
A D
But I’m sure that it’s a crime

Em C
Scraping of the chairs
Em A
Bouncing on the floor
Em C
Fighting on the balcony
G D
I can’t take it anymore

	C D
Though I can’t kill them
	Em D C
Something must be done
	D
It’s going on too long now
	E
I’ve been waiting way too long

		G Am
I will put my plan to work
		Bm A
I need action now, not talk
		G A
Each limit has been crossed now
D
It’s time to kill the dog

His snoring in the evening
Her annoying voice
And maybe worst of all
Their sorrow bedroom noise

Though I can’t kill them
Something must be done
It’s going on too long now
I’ve been waiting way too long

I will put my plan to work
I need action now, not talk
Each limit has been crossed now
It’s time to kill the dog

C D
Kick it off the stairs
Em C
Feed it cyanide
C D
Poisoned meat perhaps
F#m E
Or maybe I should bite
Bm F#m
Strangle with its leash
A C
Cut it with a knife
D
I don’t really care
E
But it won’t survive

I will put my plan to work
I need action now, not talk
Each limit has been crossed now
It’s time to kill the dog
